I chose to terminate my buyer/representation agreement due to misalignment in communication. Im a first time home buyer & my experience began positively, & I initially felt comfortable moving forward. However, as the process continued, I began to feel misaligned in communication and increasingly uncomfortable with how my clearly stated budget boundaries and home criteria were handled. At times, I did not feel fully supported in my decision-making process when I chose to pass on properties & listings outside of my expressed preferences which also continued to be presented. For me trust & collaboration are essential in a home-buying relationship, & i did not consistently feel that alignment as the process progressed. Buying a home is BOTH a financial & personal decision, and buyers should consistently feel heard, respected and guided objectively throughout the entire process. The termination itself was handled professionally.

Shameka is the truth her actions match her talk. The journey started with her placing me with a person to assist in making sure my budget is aligned with my desire to purchase a home. I told her my deal breakers so she narrowed down our search to just that. I saw the home I wanted to make an offer on she insisted we check out a couple more properties to make sure. I had no idea about what this journey would look like but Shameka had me so I didnt stress. Regardless of the odd times I would call or text she responded in less than 24 hours. I was in my home before my 49th birthday and woke up Christmas day grateful.
